ILO Publishing services: JRP/Biblio connection
Connection of 2 different tools (JRP, Biblio) supporting the Publishing process automation at ILO
- Client: International Labour Organization (ILO, UN Agency), Geneva
- Branch: PRODOC - ILO Publishing services provider
- Year: 2022
The need
PRODOC, after having implemented an IT tool to support the publication processes (Biblio), needed to connect this tool with another (JRP-Job Request Platform) dedicated to the collection of work orders coming from ILO members (PRODOC's customers).
Our intervention aimed to define the project scope and commitment, also providing a job description, for cost estimates, to the two different suppliers, each of them responsible for one tool.
Job description
- Since the Work Order Tool (JRP) had been implemented without in-depth knowledge of Biblio, it was necessary to study Biblio and then review all the features of the JRP.
- For this reason, all data exchanges between the 2 tools have been rethought, the JRP has been completely redesigned and the requirements for the creation of the API have been set.
Services provided
- Analysis of business processes
- Definition of requirements and functionalities
