Standardization of the ILO web presence made up of more than 150 websites

The need
The ILO web presence was composed of about 150 different Departmental sites (ILO units at HQ and in the field), the followimg issues were detected:
- The Organization does not appear as a single body
- Absence of common branding
- Information hard to find in silos (Departments)
- Strategic information not communicated
- Noise and redundancy
- High costs of development
Job decription
t was an industrial process optimization project (for 300 ILO web editors), which led to the creation of a system of websites coordinated with each other, through the development of a CMS. The optimization, which also led to cost savings for individual sites, was achieved through the standardization of content, navigation patterns and user interface.
